Nigel the Guitarist

I like to inject a little bit of humour at the end of an album! It worked for Cream on the Disreali Gears album, so why not for me?

Nigel the Guitarist is a song about a has been. He used to be a superstar but now he’s past his sell by date and is scraping a few quid playing in pubs and clubs where nobody really listens to anything he’s playing.

It’s a sad song and one that may of us in the music world can perhaps relate to but, as someone once said, ‘Better a has been than a never was!’
